#82. forgiveness

November, 2004

My dear brother--

We are both criminals, you and I.

Indulging in love's sweetest pleasures;
Ignoring conscience's moral call.

Mad love made our minds forget the hearts of others,
Turning unfaithfulness into expression with intensity
From the wretched wrongness it really is.

Sin, yes sin, staining our souls,
Polluting our pasts
-Not to mention my own gene record, and broken families-
Twisted the desire to love&serve into selfishness

Like a broken mirror, to match.
No better than certain particulars driven to suidice from
Betrayal. Happiness we knew for a bitter-sweet moment.
Now we must work harder at personal repair, repent to necessary parties, and make it all better.
Please.

Grace and Peace,
Your distanced sister
